Final Project: Tree Rings

I created three leaf rings around a tree. The innermost ring is the skinniest and the outermost ring is the thickest. I wanted to reflect on the core of the tree, the rings that can be seen in the trunk if you chop a tree down. The internal has become the external.

  1. This is really cool. I like how you brought the inside of a tree to the outside. Its kinda like we can see the soul of the tree.

  2. Very cool! To me the rings getting thicker towards the outside makes me think of how as we get older we get "thicker skinned" in order to be able to withstand more.

  3. It is very interesting how you arranged the leaves around the tree. It is as like you said as if the rings around the tree represented those in the tree.
Another way that I see it though is the extent of the tree. It's as if the rings of leaves around the tree represent how extensive a trees life is (how far of an extent it reaches).
